Music is Life

Music is a great way to express yourself. I have quoted music on my social media multiple times. I relate to so many lyrics and others I want to relate to one day. I am constantly listening to songs and adding them to my playlists. I get obsessed with songs and weekly I am changing up what I listen to.

I just today saw a post on a blog that I loved. They did a weekly music playlist. Every week it had music they listened to. So I am taking that idea for today's post. I don't plan on doing a weekly playlist because I don't think I listen to that much music, but you might see me talk about one song or multiple songs here and there. So thank you to Chelsea of ThinkFeelStrong for the idea. You can check out her original post that I loved and got inspiration from here.

My music I have been listening to this week is as follows:

1) Issues by Julia Michaels:
This song is catchy and it is completely relatable. Everyone has issues and everyone can relate to the fact that they have them. However, as the song goes on, if you find the right person that you can love, you can overcome these issues.

2) Little Do You Know by Alex and Sierra:
This song is so catchy and cute. You can relate to it I am sure because no one really knows what is happening inside your head. However, this song contradicts this and shows the guy does know.

3) Helium by Sia:
I just quoted this song in my blog yesterday. It is by far the song I am obsessed with right now. I relate to it so much. It shows how independence isn't what it seems and it shows you need someone to support you and help you through tough times. It is currently my life jam.

4) Heartbeat by Carrie Underwood:
I love her and I love country music. This love song is on my list solely because I love her music so much and I need some upbeat and happy songs to listen to.

5) Take Your Time by Sam Hunt:
Another country song because I love country music. This song is what I want to happen in my life. Maybe one day?

6) Not Afraid Anymore by Halsey:
I was never really a Halsey fan. Then I heard closer and she grew on me. However, the rest of her music wasn't my thing. Until this song came out. Now I love it.

7) Paris by the Chainsmokers:
I love them. This song is catchy and I needed something to replace my obsession of Closer and this song did just that.

8) Truthfully by DNCE:
I love DNCE and this song is just super catchy. I don't relate really to it, but I can get behind the lyrics and am sure one day I will relate to it.

9) Me and My Girls by Selena Gomez:
This song I relate to. This is all about girlfriends and friendships. I love it. It is super catchy and I blast it out my speakers whenever I need a pump up jam.

10) Confident by Demi Lovato:
Ok I probably blast every song that she has out my stereo speakers weekly, but this one is by far my jam. I love the lyrics, I love the beat, and it is so upbeat that I can dance around. I relate one hundred percent to this song because I am definitely a confident person.

11) Cold by Maroon 5:
I love this song. I know it just came out, but I love Maroon 5 so every song they release I love the minute it comes out.

12) Under You by Nick Jonas:
I think I am love this song only because it is Nick Jonas, but oh well. Give it a listen.

13) Body Say by Demi Lovato:
Yes another song by her. She is my favorite and for some reason this song is one of my favorites too. I think it is because it is so different from her normal work that I love it.

Have you heard of any of these songs? What are your favorite songs at the moment?

  1. Paris is by far my current jam. It is somewhat overplayed but I never get sick of it. Maybe because I'll be there this September? ;)

  4. Ahhhhh. Chainsmokers and Halsey. 'Bout time you get on board my A train. Music.Is.Life. I'm feeling some Black Beatles these days but alas, any hip hop groove soothes my mortal soul.
