Product Review: Bamboo Naturals

So I got new makeup brushes for christmas and took my time to break them out. That was until this week. I decided I needed to get rid of some of my old ones and I needed to replenish them with my new ones. So I gave it a weeks trial period before deciding to completely throw out my old ones. That was until I knew for sure these new brushes were for me.

The brushes are made by Bamboo Naturals. I got a set of five brushes called the everyday set. There are two for foundation, two for eyeshadows, and one for eyeliner. However, the brush meant for eyeliner I use for eyeshadow, because well I don't wear eyeliner.

The first brush is the large foundation brush. For this brush I used it for my face powder. It worked really well and helped blend it well. I appreciated that it was larger so I was able to cover more of my face with a little less makeup than I am used to putting on the brush. Unfortunately, I don't wear powder too often anymore, so I probably won't use this brush that much, but I do love it nonetheless.

The next brush is a smaller foundation brush. Now this is the brush that is going to get the most use. I don't like how small it is, meaning I feel like I am wasting more makeup. However, it is perfect for liquid foundation. It isn't quite what I am used to as it is on the thicker side of things and my old brush was thinner, but nonetheless it is a win-win for me.

The next brush is the eyeshadow brush. I like it a lot, but with it was a little bit bigger. I am not quite sure how I feel about this brush yet and still use my old one quite a bit. The reason being is I don't quite know which I eyeshadow I want to use for this brush. (I use four different eyeshadow brushes when doing my eye makeup, more on this in a later post this week.) I do enjoy the texture better than my old brush, but I think having to tweak my eye makeup technique is preventing me from using it more.

The fourth brush is an eyeshadow smudge brush. I use this brush to put on the eyeshadow to my brow line. It is perfect because it covers the area in one full swoop and it uses less makeup than before. The only problem I have with it is the fact that the color is similar to that of some of my eyeshadow that I use so it is hard to tell how much is on the brush before applying it to my eye. However, once I got used to using it more, I was able to master how much I actually needed and apply more as I go.

The final brush is the angled eyeliner brush. I actually use this brush for my eyeshadow, because as I said, I do not use eyeliner in my normal, everyday routine. I use this to apply the eyeshadow to my crease. The reason this is my favorite brush is because of the stiffness because it is meant for eyeliner and the size. The old brush I was using would cover too much of my crease, brow line, and lid and it would take a lot of time and effort to get the look just right. So to have to deal with it every day was a struggle. However, now it is a lot easier.

Overall, I love the brushes and would highly recommend them to all my readers. They are super soft, durable, and work well for all kinds of makeup.

If you like what you see, you can purchase them over at Amazon. They are only $9.99.

What are your favorite makeup brushes you have used?
